Privacy Policy
Effective 1 September 2026 · Last updated 1 September 2026
Uncle Rudy has no accounts. No signup, no email, no password. You open the app and start.
Your task content stays in Uncle Rudy’s local storage on your device. It is not sent to us, and it is not sent to RevenueCat. We cannot read it.
Some limited technical and purchase information is processed by RevenueCat so that Rudy Pro can be bought and restored. If you contact support, you choose what to send us. That’s the whole picture, and the rest of this page explains it properly.
No ads. No tracking. Nothing sold to anyone.
Who we are
Uncle Rudy is published by Stackr Labs Incorporated (“we”, “us”), registered at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808. This policy covers the Uncle Rudy iOS app.

What stays on your device
Everything you create in Uncle Rudy is stored locally, in the app’s own storage on your iPhone:
- Your tasks and anything you type into them
- Your moods, streaks and completion history
- Your reminder times and notification settings
- Your app preferences
Uncle Rudy does not provide cloud sync. We do not operate servers that receive this content, and we cannot access, recover or restore it.
Apple may include some app data in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your device and your backup settings. We do not control, verify or guarantee those backups. Please keep a separate record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
What we never ask for
Your name. Your email address. Your phone number. Your postal address. Your date of birth. Your contacts, calendar, photos, location, or health data.
Uncle Rudy contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking across other apps or websites. Because we do not track you, you will not see an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Uncle Rudy is free to download. There is one optional in app purchase, Rudy Pro. Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details, your billing address, or your Apple Account credentials.
To enable purchase and restore, we use RevenueCat, which acts as a data processor for us. Please note: the RevenueCat SDK is initialised when the app launches, not only when you open the purchase screen. It may process:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A pseudonymous end user identifier | Generated on your device so a purchase can be restored on your other devices. It is not linked to a name or email, because we do not hold either. |
| Store receipts and transaction information | To verify a purchase is valid and unlock the corresponding features. |
| Device and operating system information | Device model, OS version and app version, to present the correct offer and diagnose purchase failures. |
| App usage timestamps | Basic technical events relating to the purchase lifecycle. |
| App Store storefront or country | To display the correct currency and price. |
No task content is ever sent to RevenueCat. What RevenueCat collects as part of its service is described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Support reports
If you contact support from inside the app, Uncle Rudy can prepare a diagnostic report containing general device information, app and system metadata, and recent diagnostic logs.
This is prepared using Apple’s own mail composer or share sheet, so nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and you can review or edit it first. If you send it, the information reaches the recipient you have chosen.
Crash reports
We use Apple’s opt in crash reporting. If you have enabled sharing with app developers, we may receive your device model, iOS version, when a crash occurred, and the diagnostic detail Apple makes available. This is entirely your choice and can be switched off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Notifications
Uncle Rudy uses local notifications only. Reminders are scheduled by the app on your device. There is no push notification server, and the content of your reminders does not leave your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Widgets
Widgets and Dynamic Island read data already stored on your device. They transmit nothing.
Age
Uncle Rudy is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the app, please contact us and we will address it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA, including rights of access, correction, deletion and objection.
In practice:
- To delete everything you have created, delete the app from your device. This is permanent. We cannot undo it or recover it for you, because we never held it.
- For information held by RevenueCat or Apple in connection with a purchase, contact us at [email protected] and we will make the request on your behalf, or you can approach them directly.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Retention
Your task content remains on your device for as long as you keep it there. Information about purchases is retained by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to support restores, refunds, and their own legal and accounting obligations.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and where a change materially affects your rights we will give reasonable notice in the app. Changes apply from their stated effective date.
